ASR is a licensed asbestos removal contractor, approved to undertake asbestos removal works in Guernsey under the Government of Guernsey’s asbestos registration scheme since 2018. In 2026, ASR was also formally approved by the Health and Safety Inspectorate, Jersey, to undertake licensed asbestos removal works on the island, following approval by the Minister for Social Security under the Asbestos Licensing (Jersey) Regulations 2008.

These approvals reflect ASR’s ability to plan, manage, and deliver licensed asbestos removal works safely and in full compliance with local legislation, regulatory requirements, and approved guidance across the Channel Islands.

Our management team has over 60 years of combined experience in the asbestos and hazardous materials sector. This depth of experience informs our approach to risk assessment, method development, and site supervision, ensuring works are delivered with a consistently high level of control, competence, and professionalism.

ASR utilises current, industry-approved asbestos abatement techniques and specialist equipment appropriate to the scope and risk profile of each project. This includes the design and installation of fully compliant enclosure systems, the use of negative pressure units with HEPA filtration to maintain effective fibre control, controlled wet-removal methods, and dedicated decontamination facilities for personnel and equipment. 

All works are planned and executed in accordance with approved methods, risk assessments, and recognised industry guidance to ensure effective containment and protection at all times.

ASR is subject to routine inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance, with detailed records maintained to demonstrate continued performance, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Our site operatives, supervisors, and management personnel are fully trained, competent, and experienced in the delivery of licensed asbestos removal works. Training and competency are maintained through initial and refresher training, task-specific instruction, and ongoing assessment, in line with Guernsey and Jersey regulatory expectations. Supervisory oversight and site monitoring further ensure that standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship are consistently achieved on every project.

We  are active members of ACAD and ASESA, and work closely with our H&S Consultant., all of whom undertake regular independent site audits of our asbestos removal activities. These audits provide objective assessment and valuable feedback, allowing us to continually review our procedures, strengthen controls, and further improve standards of safety, compliance, and delivery.
